PERSONAL APHORISMS
Nov 10 2008, 12:46 PM EST | Post edited: Nov 10 2008, 12:46 PM EST
Reply to this thread and list at least 3 aphorisms that you live by and that the rest of us could use, too, in our daily lives.

If you like (but it's not required) you can explain your aphorism(s) for us. But remember, aphorisms shouldn't really NEED explanation. They're little nuggets of advice that we can carry around with us.

My Grandma is the only one that uses aphorisms that I know. I called her up and asked her if should could tell me her 3 favorites. This is what she said:
1. Comedy is tragedy plus time.
2. Even the the most tempting rose has thorns.
3. Learn from the past. Look to the future. Live in the present.

one virtue that i would like to improve is behaving good and dont answer back to my parents meaning just doing what they ask me to do with out arguing because i always do that.
My next one is paying more attention in class and doing my work more often.
My last one is washing my teeth before going to bed because normally i wash them in the morning thats it.
